Health Tip #3

Fitbrose_swoosh at you guys again with another health tip for today!

First off I want to make sure that everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July weekend!
I know that was a lot of food to be eaten and maybe some drinks (alcoholic) being consumed, as we all should be doing for celebrating the day of Independence!!

But as always it is time to get back to that eating healthy and working out! I know that for some a weekend like this is the number one cause for why we tend to fall off the wagon and end up losing all of the progress that we've made to this point in our fitness journeys. So while it might seem like a drag to get to the gym today...remember while this is not a sprint, you should always look at the bigger picture in life and that is to live as long as we possibly can!

So why not continue to do so even after a long vacation or a weekend filled with fun! They way I always tend to look at it is that "I gave myself a cheat weekend to go out and have fun with my buddies, now time to get back at it".

Doing this not only creates a positive reinforcement; in the fact that because of your hard work and efforts to continuing to eat healthy and be active you can know that rewarding yourself. Is like giving yourself a pat on the back for doing everything that you have set out to do. Now that we begin our second push for our fitness journey lets look at another key that will be one of the most important aspects to making sure that your recovery and future progress is not halted and tampered with.

That is the power of SLEEP!
Yes, I am talking about sleep. One of the most over looked tools that we contain as fitness lovers is the fact that while we have very very busy schedules we often time make the mistake of only getting sometimes 3-5 hours of sleep because we are so worried about making a deadlines or finishing up a project or maybe figuring out how to solve financial problems. The point is that we spend to many nights being consumed with so many stimulants and thoughts that we often time neglect what the most crucial thing about our nights, is that it is meant for us to wine down and to start relaxing so that when we crawl into bed that we are going to get some sleep with out and worries or troubling thoughts.

Now this brings me to my next point which is a set of rules to follow when getting ready for bed:
1.) KEEP ALL ELECTRONICS OUT OF THE ROOM! May sound silly but in all honesty we are so technology attached to everything that if we allow our technology to be in the room we wont actually get sleep because any light in the room causes the brain to think time to get up and keep working when that's not what we want at all.
2.) DON'T WORKOUT RIGHT BEFORE GETTING INTO BED! The last thing we want to do is try to get in those extra pushups or crunches right before bed because we want the body to be nice and cool and relaxed right before bed to ensure that we are getting a good rest, the last thing we need to get into bed having all of our muscles firing and ready to get moving.
3.) THE BEDROOM SHOULD ONLY BE FOR SEX OR SLEEP! I will just leave it at that, the bedroom should only be for some fun time with the significant other and then sleeping.

So I hope this was helpful and with that catch yall tomorrow!

Health Tip #2

Hey everyone!

Fitbrose_swoosh coming at you again with another tip of the day!

I hope everybody hump-day is off to a good start, I know that with Wednesdays it can either be something to look forward too, or just another day on the calendar. But I hope that no matter what everyone is at least up and about today! I know that for some if not most of us, being able to stay active while at work can sometimes be difficult especially when we our job may consist of us being at a desk all day. But I have some very simple and easy suggestions that can help with the worry that being at a desk will cause you to put on some UN-wanting pounds. These tips will also allow for better blood flow through out the whole body and may relieve some stress/pain that can be placed on ones back, and hip flexors from sitting for to long.

Suggestion #1)

When you start to feel a little ache start to begin in your back the first thing I recommend, is to go from sitting to standing, I mean there is nothing wrong with answering a few phone calls standing up right?! I mean if anything you are going to one help increase the blood flow to your legs and which feet which when it comes to sitting all day that is usually the first areas of your body to lose blood supply because when sitting you are compressing muscles and when this happens you are also decreasing blood flow not only to those limbs but also from the limbs back up to the heart. That is the last thing that we want to happen is to have blood flow not reach the heart.

Suggestion #2)

While at a desk I know that with back pain is the cause of either bad posture when sitting in our chairs or its the inability of our core muscles to turn on and so we are having to rely on our back muscles to keep us standing up right. Well I think it is time to start having our back do all the work and actually have our core do it for us, so I will attach a video that I thought you would be great to get the core activated. There are many variations to the exercise that I am doing put it is simply getting into a plank position and then engaging the core so that we can work on those stabilizing muscles that help keep our body upright and doesn't allow for any poor postural issues.

Healthy Lifestyle! Tip #1

Hello everyone!

Fitbrose_swoosh coming at you guys with some info about living a healthy life style. I know that with summer around the corner, we are all searching for that summer body or even looking to start changing our eating habits so that we can start to feel more energized and more awake. I have one tip that will not only help with that but it won't break your bank account. I know that for some of us having money to pay for the gym, eating healthy. Can be EXPENSIVE!! When I know that there are other more important things to worry about like family, rent, groceries, and bills in general.

So why would you pay for an expense that one you might not be able to afford?? Well here is 1 tip that will not only be easy on the wallet, but will also be something that can be done through out the day that won't take hours to accomplish. And for some that is the key (time) I know that we are all have a million things going on in our life that are trying to control and for the most we can't control time because no matter what the minutes rolls by. So instead of spending hours at the gym that some of us can't afford to spend because of work, families, and other obligations.

Here is a quick fix to the madness in your day.
Tip 1.) When making your meals, I know a lot of us want to add CHIPS OR POP to our meals.
The fastest way to start losing those pounds and feeling better is to supplement those chips is with a vegetable. (carrots, celery, cucumbers..etc) The more green you consume the happier your body is going to feel and the more energy your going to have throughout the day, and for some energy is what he all to tend to lack right after lunch. Lets also supplement the POP for something that is so much easier on the digestive tract there is no sense to add more acid to our body then is already in there. You are not only damaging your intestines but you are also making your liver having to work overtime to process all the sugar that comes from POP and that is the last things your body needs to be doing. So why not make it easy on your body, and drink WATER!! The more water you drink the more toxins you flush out of your system the healthier your body is going to feel in return you will live longer! I mean isn't that the goal everyone strives for to live till they are 100?! What is stopping you then??

So happy living! Ill check in tomorrow to see how this tip has helped! If it does please comment or like it!

Ill have another tip #2 tomorrow!
